Save A fun and healthy snack inspired by space exploration, featuring colorful fruit pieces assembled into rocket ship shapes perfect for kids parties or a themed snack.
I love making these fruit skewers with my children because they get excited about creating their own rocket ships with fresh fruit.
Ingredients
- Fresh Fruit: 8 large strawberries (rocket tips), 1 cup pineapple chunks (rocket flames), 1 cup green grapes (rocket body), 1 cup blueberries (decorative windows), 1 banana, sliced thickly (rocket body)
- Additional: 8 wooden skewers (8–10 inches long)
Instructions
- Step 1:
- Wash all fruit thoroughly and pat dry.
- Step 2:
- Cut the banana into thick slices, about 1/2 inch each.
- Step 3:
- To assemble each rocket, start by threading a pineapple chunk onto the bottom of the skewer (for the rockets flame).
- Step 4:
- Add 1–2 green grapes above the pineapple.
- Step 5:
- Place 1 banana slice above the grapes.
- Step 6:
- Add 1–2 blueberries as the decorative windows.
- Step 7:
- Top with a whole strawberry (point facing up) as the rocket tip.
- Step 8:
- Repeat with the remaining ingredients to create 8 rocket ship skewers.
- Step 9:
- Arrange skewers on a platter and serve immediately.
Save These skewers always brighten up family gatherings and bring smiles to everyone's faces.
